What ingredients are used in the towels?
Our towels are a unique blend of four fibres Silverbac™, Lyocell™, Rayon Bamboo, and Aegean Cotton. It has been Tested for harmful substances with a STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certification.
Why is it important to use a clean body and face washer?
Cleansing is an essential part of all regimes; removing harmful bacteria, freeing the pores of dirt and grime and neutralising pollution all help to promote optimal skin function and prevent congestion, dullness and devitalisation. Ensuring your cleansing accoutrement is sterile is a key part of this - preventing the spread of microbes that can cause or exacerbate blemishes, dermatitis and other inflammatory skin conditions.
Where does a dry face washer fit into your beauty regime and why is it important?
After cleansing, it's really important to use a gentle "press and pat" method to dry the skin with a soft, non-abrasive cloth and to absorb any excess liquid and product. Rubbing, buffing or tugging at the complexion with coarse fabric can cause redness, irritation and really agitate the skin, as well as encourage fine lines and laxity if done frequently enough.
Where does a wet face washer fit into your beauty regime and why is it important?
Wet cloths are a wonderful way to gently remove thicker cleansing balms for a deep and thorough cleanse and to assist in freeing the pores of impurities. They can also be used to really gently buff away dead skin on the nose and chin, by using small circular motions and can be pressed gently into the complexion for a swift and respectful removal of peels and masks after they have been left to activate and infuse into the complexion.
Does the towel work on hair?
Absolutely. Our Lyocell and Bamboo fibres are working to dry the towel 40% faster than standard cotton and are highly absorbent. This results in your hair drying faster. Given their botanical properties it almost means the towel has an extremely soft handle leading to less friction and healthier hair.
What makes this towel antibacterial?
Our Silverbac™ technology works to kill 99.9% of germs and bacteria. When our towel comes in contact with oxygen and water silver ions activate that destroy bad bacteria cell walls. In addition to this our lyocell and bamboo fibres are working to dry the towel 40% faster than standard cotton. These moisture wicking technology aid in the incubation of bacteria aiding in stopping the spread of germs and odours.
What type of skin is this suitable for?
Great for all skin types especially sensitive and acne prone skin. Thanks to key ingredients, rayon bamboo + tencel lyocell, and their naturally hypoallergenic properties, our towel removes dirt, grit, and oil without causing irritation. As well as reduce highly potent irritants, like bacteria and mildew. Breaks down acne-causing bacteria: There are a few things going on in our towel which work to fight bad bacteria, particularly acne-causing bacteria. Whilst bamboo and tencel lyocell naturally fight bacteria and odours, silverbac works by attracting acne-driving bacteria and breaking down their cell walls before they’ve had a chance to produce.
Why is it important to keep your skin clean?
When too much dirt builds up, the hair follicles can get blocked, trapping sebum and dead skin cells. Bacteria can get into the follicle, leading to inflammation and acne. Keeping the skin clean prevents the build-up of dirt and can, therefore, help to prevent spots.
How do I care for my towel?
Machine wash your towels separately in warm water on the gentle cycle using mild detergent. Do not use bleach or fabric softeners as they are not needed or recommended. Tumble dry on medium heat. To prevent your towels from snagging, we recommend that you wash your towels in plain hot water immediately after purchase.
